All set for our Olympic themed sports day in our SPACE building! We held field events: discus, shot-put, javelin, high-jump and long-jump! Plus we had track events sprint, hurdles and relay!!
In gymnastics with Mrs Wilson we did a circuit of activities to build or core strength such as: speed bounce, sit-ups, press-ups, step-ups and many more!
This morning we made healthy snacks of wraps and pasta including all of the five food groups: carbohydrates, protein, dairy, vitamins and minerals and fats.
We had lots of healthy nutritious ingredients to choose from! They were delicious and healthy too…bonus!!!!
We are going to try to make our own at home too!
Today to kick start our annual health and fitness week we took part in Paralympic games: Goal Ball using blindfolds, wheelchair Volleyball and blind athletics obstacle course! It was extremely difficult and it really made up realise just how inspirational the para-Olympian athletes are!
Some Year 6 children had a wonderful afternoon at Stadt Moers Park on Thursday orienteering, building shelters and much, much more! It was lots of fun and the children counted their total number of steps using a pedometer!
Today, to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday, we held a tea party in her honour!

Today we started our Judo sessions with a specialist instructor!!
We learnt three different falls and how to hold an opponent.
We learnt to respect each other and the mat. It was lots of fun and we enjoyed it so much!
Year 6 are taking part in the whole school sunflower growing competition!
We each planted our own sunflower seeds to see whose grows the tallest!! We wonder who will win? We will keep you updated of how they are getting on!
