Today in Art we have been studying the work of the famous American artist of the 1960s, Andy Wahol!
We used our own popular images from the modern day to create our own ‘pop-art’ drawings in the style of Andy Wahol! We used images of Minnie Mouse, Cans of Coca-cola, minions and football badges!
In the afternoon, we created our own theme park! We collected visitor data from the class and inserted data into a spreadsheet. We then used the data to create graphs and pie-charts!
We inserted formulas to calculate our profits we had made from our food, drinks, souvenir and ride sales!
Take a look at our amazing work!
As a treat for the end of our SATs, Mrs Dunne and Miss OBrien treated us all to a French breakfast before we went off to Winmarleigh Hall!
We had croissants with chocolate spread and jam, pain au chocolat, blueberry muffins, strawberries, grapes and fruit juice!
We all thoroughly enjoyed it and it was the perfect start to our trip!
A wonderful experience spent with wonderful children!! Memories that will last a lifetime! 💭💛💭
We have just pulled off from Winmarleigh Hall! We are all muddy and very tired!! The children and staff can’t wait to get home and sleep in our own beds! We hope to be back for approx. 3:15pm!
The children have been very well behaved and have blown us all away with how brave and outgoing they have all been! They have achieved lots of personal goals whilst being here and completed some terrifying, daunting activities!
The internet has been very poor on site so apologies for the lack of photos…I will upload some amazing pictures and videos tonight!!!
Well done children we are extremely proud of you all! 👏👏🏆👍👍
Year 6 have all arrived safely and have eaten lunch! Just having a game of football and cricket before our activities begin!
Year 6 are off to PGL Winmarleigh Hall for two nights and three days!! We’ll be doing zip-wire, giant swing, high ropes, campfire and much, much more!! Keep checking how we are getting on and what we get up to!! We are all very excited!! 👬👭👬👭👬👭👬👭👬👭👬👭👬👭🚌💨
We all enjoyed a wonderful Sunday where we spent a few hours together in our SPACE building doing some light, enjoyable revision in preparation for the SATs!
First we spent some time doing some maths problem solving puzzles and then we went to Mass together as a class and received a blessing or Holy Comminion.
Then it was back for a nice lunch out on the grass in the sunshine. To finish we held a class debate on “should children so SAT tests?” We all thoroughly enjoyed it and children made some very convincing arguments for and against!
It was the perfect way to prepare for the week ahead and we all enjoyed spending time together!
