We love our Anderson Shelter reading area!
Our Class Novel!
We are loving reading Michelle Magorian’s ‘Goodnight Mr Tom!’
In Science we have been learning what our blood is made of. We made our own models of human blood using a plastic bottle as the vein/artery and added various ingredients along with red food colouring to look like blood under the microscope!
We used red cheerios to act as the red blood cells, mini marshmallows as white blood cells, large pink marshmallows as the platelets and yellow food colouring in water as the plasma! It was extremely messy but lots of fun!!
In our Literacy lessons we have been writing formal letters! We wrote letters of congratulations to our Queen congratulating her on her achievement of being the longest ever reigning British monarch!
Look at our amazing writing – we’ve been trying really hard to include a range of good writing features!
Our letters are now all signed sealed and ready to go off in the post! We hope to get a reply soon! We will keep you posted!
In our Come and See lessons we have been learning all about God’s love for us!
We wrote our own prayers thanking God for the people we love, for his unconditional love for us and to ask him to help us to forgive people easier.
We are currently preparing our class assembly to share with our parents and the rest of the school about Loving!
We had a very special visitor in our class this morning – Bishop Tom Williams! He came to join in our class collective worship which we had planned about God’s love!
We sang him a hymn from our class assembly accompanied by music and he told us some wonderful stories of times he has visited other schools!
We hope he visits us again very soon – he is always welcome at our school!
